I am currently using Zotero for citations and bibliographies. I currently just use it to remember websites that have downloadable pdf files, or what they call it, attaching. Their website say that the program is free, but there's a cost on the program for file storage.

Clear some things up for me. What is the difference b/w attaching the files on your account and storing files in your storage? Will I have to pay for this usage?

Please give me professional answers instead of one sentence answers and any of those that are of no help whatsoever.

Thanks

Great list of resources for further exploration on mental health across age and gender. The focus on mental health in children is especially important, as 1 in four children experience some kind of mental health issue.

I was very much eager to attend His Excellency Ambassador Rasool's lecture. I am sorry, because of another engagement that I was committed to I had to miss the opportunity. Is it possible to have a copy of Ambassador Ebrahim Rasool’s talk? I would be happy to purchase any publication which could print the Ambassador’s speech. Or if necessary, I would be happy to pay for the cost of coping the speech.
Respectfully
Shahrokh Mafi

I was very much eager to attend His Excellency Ambassador Rasool’s lecture.

My great Aunt, Janie M. Hall graduated from Municipal Training School for Colored Nurses, (That is the title on her diploma) in Febuary of 1934. I am just blessed that I still have her diploma. When I show it to my grandchildren, they are amazed at the "Colored Nurses", on the diploma.

I have directed the Moore's Ford Bridge Lynching for the past 4 years and I am still amazed at the amount of people in Georgia that are not aware of this tragedy. We should all still be crying out for justice for those two young couples and an unborn child. I weep at the site where they were killed every time we are on those grounds.

As the physician of record in the case of Doe v Bolton I am delighted you are holding this event. In 1973 at the time of the hearing before the Supreme Court Doev Bolton got billing close to that of Roe v Wade. Over the years it has been slowly expunged from the history. This is tragic for many reasons, not the least of which is that the final ruling relied heavily on the issues raised by Doe v Bolton.

Grid computing (or distributed computing, etc.) is like "crowdsourcing" for CPUs. I have no doubt that something world changing will eventually come of it - a cure for an "incurable" disease, an answer to an "unanswerable" question or maybe a novel method for the safe disposal of outdated computers and other technology (the grid will only get bigger).

Interesting article Christian - I had no idea the Library workstations were participating. Thanks!

I am currently enrolled in a RN to MSN with a focus in nursing education. My program is strictly delivered online. It involves weekly discussions in which scholarly references must be utilized. Majority of my classes require graded team papers and then an individual paper all which a rubric is used in determining a grade. You highlight some great points around “strategies for evaluating the quality and worth of online learning, thus improving instruction and learning outcomes”. I think it is imperative for nursing programs to follow an evaluation model, like ADDIE or Dick and Carey, not only to meet their students learning needs but also to meet accreditation and credentialing standards.

video surveillance caught two men secretly abusing vulnerable autistic young man: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybiFEVTzGBU

Video cameras are becoming an important tool in protecting elderly and special needs populations. More and more news stories are showing families catching predators and abusers of elderly and disabled on hidden or openly seen video cameras installed in environment where loved one is kept. The one that gets me is the case shown here where the caregivers KNEW the camera was in the autistic man's room and STILL abused him. What kind of an arrogant psychopath thinks they can do this with a camera watching them?

I served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1979. I was promoted to CPO in Oct '67. I just accepted the Navy as it was.

When the Admiral became CNO and the Fleet began getting Z-grams, the world changed - For. The. Better.

As a Chief, I had so much more independence, more freedom. I'll never know if the command was pissed-off by the CNO's directives, decided to ignore them or what, but that command and the subsequent one gave me the freedom to treat my division/department like human beings and not a herd to boss around.

Very Respectfully,

I love the idea and the site. What I like most is the unexpected subject of the next post. It seems you have such a wide variety of topic, you never know what is around the corner. I really love how pictures can tell a story from the eye of the artist. Thanks.

Human trafficking is a problem worldwide, but it is difficult to detect since most of the time those being trafficked are willing corroborators. Human beings are being trafficked from "poor countries/regions" to "richer countries/regions" with promise of greener pasture. The issues normally comes up when they do not get the greener pasture promise them some ending up in squalor.

We are grateful for the promotional information about CRL that GSU presented on this page and appreciate the many ways GSU supports CRL activities. Thank you. The usage information in the bullets is great feedback as well, since we are always interested in how patrons use CRL materials. The Chinese Literature project caught my eye as a possible candidate for the CRL Primary Source Awards, which was created to highlight innovative use of primary source materials in three categories –access, research, and teaching. I have included a link below to the awards program page and am hopeful it will prompt the nomination of an innovative GSU librarian, researcher, or teacher.

I guess this is not so bad, as long as Disney doesn't try to make more prequels.

I did see a pretty amusing cartoon which depicted Darth Vader kneeling before Mickey Mouse and Mickey saying, "I am your father."

[...] While PLoS is a success story for gold OA (fully open access journals), arXiv shows how effective green OA can be. Green OA refers to articles archived in a repository; often, they’re pre-print or post-print versions of articles published in non-OA journals. arXiv, founded in 1991, archives papers in physics, mathematics, computer science, nonlinear sciences, quantitative biology, and statistics3. The popularity of arXiv is staggering; it contains almost 700,000 full-text articles and serves about 1 million downloads per week4. The field of high-energy physics, whose articles are almost all archived on arXiv, has gone one step further to negotiate gold OA for 90% of the articles in the field5. [...]
