Georgia State University Library’s Joel Glogowski will be presenting a workshop on November 18, 2009, introducing users to EndNote. The presentation will be from  11:00am – 12:30pm in Classroom 1 (on the first floor of Library North). In this session you will learn the basics of building an EndNote library and using EndNote to create formatted bibliographies.

Please contact Joel to register. Using software like EndNote can be very extremely helpful when working on a research paper or article. It could potentially shave hours off of your work. If you currently use EndNote, or have previously attended one of our EndNote instructional workshops, please let us know about your experience in the comments below!

Share/Bookmark]]> http://homer.gsu.edu/blogs/library/2009/11/13/endnote-workshop-november-18/feed/ 0 ECAR Study of Undergraduates and Information Technology http://homer.gsu.edu/blogs/library/2009/10/22/ecar-study-of-undergraduates-and-information-technology/ http://homer.gsu.edu/blogs/library/2009/10/22/ecar-study-of-undergraduates-and-information-technology/#comments Thu, 22 Oct 2009 14:46:13 +0000 Laura http://homer.gsu.edu/blogs/library/?p=15566 The 2009 ECAR Study of Undergraduates and Information Technology is now available.  This year the special section is on ownership and use of internet-capable mobile devices.  The study found that 33% of students own the devices, and use them for internet access, while 18% own them, but do not use the internet function.  Also found in the study is that the trend from desktop to laptop computer ownership is continuing at a fast pace, the use of social networking sites by all age groups continues to rise, and 9 of 10 students use the library website, with a median frequency of use of monthly.  There are many more interesting findings in the study.
