GALILEO Annual User Survey and iPod Nano Prize

Your feedback is important, so add a note to your calendar or to-do list to look for the survey link on the GALILEO home page.

A World Wide Web-based virtual library, GALILEO provides access to multiple information resources, including secured access to licensed products. Participating institutions may access over 100 databases indexing thousands of periodicals and scholarly journals. Over 2000 journal titles are provided in full-text. Other resources include encyclopedias, business directories, and government publications. Learn more about GALILEO.”

GIL-Find

The Georgia State University Library is participating in pilot testing of GIL-Find. What is GIL-Find? It is an alternative interface for the classic GIL catalog that has many new features such as Facets (to narrow searches), Similar items, and Tagging. It is not a replacement for GIL, just a different way to search the catalog.

Access GIL-Find from the link on the classic GIL site, or directly at gilfind.gsu.edu.

During this pilot we would like to receive feedback about what you like about GIL-Find and how it could be improved. You may use the feedback form on the site by clicking on the Give Us Your Feedback button.

GIL Catalog Upgrade scheduled, December 19, 6pm

The upgrade will begin around 6 p.m. and should be complete prior to the beginning of the following business day (Sat. Dec. 20th). During the upgrade the system will not be available. Users needing to check library holdings should try the universal catalog at http://giluc.usg.edu.
