GIL-Find
The Georgia State University Library is participating in pilot testing of GIL-Find. What is GIL-Find? It is an alternative interface for the classic GIL catalog that has many new features such as Facets (to narrow searches), Similar items, and Tagging. It is not a replacement for GIL, just a different way to search the catalog.

GIL Catalog Upgrade scheduled, December 19, 6pm
The upgrade will begin around 6 p.m. and should be complete prior to the beginning of the following business day (Sat. Dec. 20th). During the upgrade the system will not be available. Users needing to check library holdings should try the universal catalog at http://giluc.usg.edu.
Canceled GALILEO databases removed from Library’s list of electronic resources
The following databases from Cambridge Scientific Abstracts, which were recently canceled by GALILEO due to budget constraints, have been removed from the Library’s list of electronic resources:
-AIDS and Cancer Research Abstracts
-Algology, Mycology & Protozoology Abstracts (Microbiology C)
-Animal Behavior Abstracts
-Applied Social Sciences Index and Abstracts (ASSIA)
-Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts Set and Oceanic Abstracts (ASFA)
-Bacteriology Abstracts [...]
