New Faculty Publication: Dr. Alessandra Raengo on Race & Visual Culture

Congratulations to Georgia State Moving Image Studies Professor Dr. Alessandra Raengo on the publication of her first scholarly monograph, On the Sleeve of the Visual: Race as Face Value (Dartmouth College Press)!

Dr. Raengo has also co-edited two books on film adaptation and written numerous articles, such as 2012′s “Reification, Reanimation, and the Money of the Real” in World Picture Journal.

You can find Dr. Raengo’s book, along with many of the films and artists she examines in the book, in the Library’s collection. Here is a brief sampling:
