Media Education Foundation documentaries

The library has a large collection of documentaries from the Media Education Foundation that are great for class screenings or student research. Some of our new and/or interesting titles from MEF include:

Killing us softly 4: Advertising’s image of women (new release, just in!)

Dreamworlds 3: Desire, sex & power in music video

Class dismissed: How TV frames the working class

Constructing public opinion: How politicians and the media misrepresent the public

Toxic sludge is good for you: The public relations industry unspun

Freedom of expression: Resistance and repression in the age of intellectual property

(And more…) Some of our Communication faculty are fans of these DVDs for classroom use, but many of these titles would be great for Business, Women’s Studies, or other disciplines too. These, and all our other DVDs, are located on Library South 2.
