W.E.B. DuBois Papers to be put online at U. Mass.

The University’s W.E.B DuBois Library has about 100,000 letters, diaries, photographs and other items on DuBois’ life and work.  The library plans to scan, catalog, digitize and put online the papers of this noted sociologist and civil rights pioneer who helped found the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).  This is a two year project beginning in July and funded by Verizon.
